The Fv64 runs 2.7 kilometres in tunnel under the Fannefjord, from Molde out to Bolsøya in Møre og Romsdal. The tunnel opened on 20 December 1990, as part of the Skålavegen road finished the year after.

It replaced the ferry between Molde and Bolsøya, and was partly financed with tolls collected until 2005. The tunnel reaches 101 metres below sea level.

The Fannefjord can only be crossed in tunnel, so a closure means a long detour for traffic towards Midsund and Aukra. Check the status before you drive.
