Questions and answers
- Where does the information come from?
- From Statens vegvesen. We retrieve status about once a minute and show it with a timestamp. Tunnel names, lengths and years come from the National Road Database.
- Why does it say unknown on some tunnels?
- Because we have no confirmed status. We show unknown rather than assume the tunnel is open. The absence of a closure message is not proof of an open tunnel.
- Can I trust the answer?
- We show what Statens vegvesen publishes, verbatim and without interpreting it. If the source is wrong, we are wrong. Where signage disagrees, follow the signage and official channels.
- What about heavy vehicles?
- Some tunnels carry a separate status for heavy vehicles. When it differs from the general status, we show it just below the verdict at the top.
